Slave to Miseducation

by Tyla Inyamah

“Art is a universal form of communication that can be understood by all in the past, present, and future. I portray my life, politics, and feelings into my art to be understood by those who may need it. This piece is especially important to me because our education system is constantly being threatened and its important that we the people fight back in any way we know how. History that is lost or portrayed wrong is likely to be repeated! This piece was created with a mixed media of colored pencils, alcohol markers, and watercolors.”
