The Story of a Tree and a Woodpecker

“My works explore the geometry within chaos — how emotional fragmentation can be restructured into aesthetic order. I paint psychological landscapes where abstraction meets figuration, and color becomes architecture for thought. Influenced by Indian metaphysical ideas and post-expressionist form, I translate inner turbulence into visual rhythm. Through dense acrylic layers, scraped textures, and symbolic distortions, I search for balance amid collapse — a meditation on survival and perception. My art is not about depicting chaos but transforming it, turning the fractured human condition into structured emotion. This painting is inspired by the concept of organic burial pods. In this process, a person is buried in a pod that eventually grows into a tree. As time passes, a woodpecker arrives and begins pecking at the tree. This raises intriguing questions: Does the person's soul, now part of the tree, feel pain? Has the person's soul become the soul of the tree?”
