“Everyone was once a child with limitless imagination. However, as children grow up, the world becomes more complicated; many people gradually lose their happiness and clarity in the expanding chaos. In my small sized watercolor children’s portraits, I capture the natural innocence and sweetness of once disadvantaged children who were forced to be removed from broken families for various reasons. I believe that the flow of positive energy can be transmitted through a child’s smiles and fearlessness. To me, these paintings are like a mirror, subtly reflecting my inner true self. While it's almost impossible to always maintain a child's perspective, I hope these paintings remind us how simple and joyful our lives can be.”
