Oh, How I Love Being a Woman

by Gynx Valentine

“My current body of work allows me a way of both processing and resolving my past traumatic memories (or lack thereof) by sharing them with others. I relish in the discomfort I'm able to give that I once felt in silence. Having the ability to talk and even laugh about the things I've been through is a sense of empowerment for me. I feel as though I'm on the road to victory– beginning the journey of fully processing the harm done to a version of me that shouldn't exist, practicing forgiveness, and never truly forgetting.”
