Twiggy-ish

“Silk screening intrigued me with how it can simplify an image into only light and shadows and nothing in between. I’m always fascinated with faces and portraits and I was inspired by the pop icon ‘Twiggy’ for this particular piece. As a fashion designer and illustrator, I’m drawn to curves and fluidity of the lines, so using a hand-cut stencil with bright color ink was an experiment for me. The end result was a bright ombre of her portrait with a touch of fashion-illustration energy. Silk screen, color ink on paper.”
