Mónica Fastag Ponsky (Mexico City, b. 1969) is a Mexican artist, currently based in Cleveland, Ohio, who applies a formal design practice to her mixed-media paintings. Her background in industrial design, metal smithing and jewelry making informs her intuitive practice in material exploration. Upcycling used and found materials, Fastag Ponsky combines techniques such as painting, drawing and embroidery to convey her expression and wish to instill more color and love into our lives
