Lauren Elyse S. is a California based painter working primarily in acrylic, occasionally oil and gouache. Inspired by late 19th, early 20th century artist collectives, she is wholly enamored with the medium of paint - what can be achieved with color and brushstrokes to communicate mood and energy. Themes in her work include nature, atmospheric light, spaces we create to inhabit, and interpersonal observations. Her work is in private & public collections across the US & Europe. A recent commission for public art is now on display at the San Diego waterfront.
