“I am a Navy veteran with a background in cybersecurity and healthcare. I am a self-taught mixed media artist. Art serves as a great creative outlet for me and a way to process my innermost feelings and emotional turmoil. This piece is about what it feels like to carry everything at once. What’s going on inside you and everything happening around you. The silhouette is meant to feel grounded, even though the space around her is chaotic and constantly moving. It has a lot of layers and texture so the background feels chaotic, but she still holds her place in it. For me, this is about strength that isn’t loud, just continues, even when things feel heavy or unclear.”
