“As a surgeon and a quilter, I am continuously fascinated by the intricate beauty of human anatomy and the delicate interplay of form and function within the body. It was in my years as an undergraduate at Penn that I first learned to appreciate this balances. Through my art quilts, I aim to capture the essence of this fascination while weaving in elements of my own life experiences. My quilts serve as a visual narrative of the connections between my professional world and my creative expression. Working with fabric, I utilize traditional quilting techniques alongside innovative approaches to bring my visions to life. Whether piecing together a complex anatomical structure or meticulously quilting layers to evoke texture and depth, I find joy in the process.”
