“Art is a constant evolution. The need to explore, and change is a part of each of us no matter how we may try to stay ourselves. During current days, I am exploring balances. Those within waves, with the top and bottoms of the frequencies or sounds, extremes and even simple ocean waves. Distances between highs and lows, worldly successes and failures, the distances between joy and sadness. There seems a balance with everything that is in a constant state of flux. We can energetically try ride those high points, but when we are inevitably back visiting the lows, it is the memory of the highs which helps shine us forward. To have grace during both the highs and lows is my quest to find the balance. Recent images speak to this struggle of balance, between light and dark, self and other, movement and timelessness. My hope is to unsettle enough, that the viewer may find balance both within the image, and possibly, momentarily, within themselves.”
