“I retired in 2019 and my plan was to take some college classes & travel the world. I signed up for writing & photography classes and I booked a world cruise that started out in Antarctica. Sadly, the world came to a screeching halt. When the cruise was cancelled for the second and final time two months prior to sailing, I realized it wasn't meant to be. I researched cruises to Antarctica & set sail in January 2022 with my new Canon R6 and an rf 100-500 lens that I rented online. I took hundreds of photos of amazing wildlife and extraordinary landscapes. Thus began my obsession with travel photography. Since then, I've traveled to more than 20 international and domestic destinations. Each trip holds special memories in my brain & on my SD cards. I'm looking forward to my next adventure and capturing images through my lens.”
