Let’s Dance; East Branch
by Cary Galbraith
“I am a representational oil painter. I paint what I see. Painting for me is finding the solution. I simplify, depict what is necessary and leave out details that detract. I build my paintings from monochromatic to vivid color and contrast. My subjects are studio still life's, plein air landscapes and sailing vessels. I was born and raised in New Rochelle NY. My father was an artist and an advertising executive who had a strong influence on me and my art. My education includes art schools in New York and Philadelphia. I received my certificate from PAFA in 1976. I believe art is a universal language that adds value to the world. A visual dialogue that is eternal to all.”
