Hollywood Calling
by Michelle Dreselly
“My recent work is where nostalgia flirts with rebellion and joy plays dress-up in vintage shades. Through layers of collage, mark making, spray paint, textured acrylics, and juicy oil paint, I build bold, vibrant portraits that honor the beautiful mess of being human—especially the feminine kind. I love mixing the unexpected: a splash of glam, a wink of humor, a touch of grit. Trained in fashion design but now fully at home in fine art, I’m forever chasing that sweet spot between stylized realism and abstract freedom. My paintings offer a place to pause, to feel, and maybe to remember some forgotten version of yourself—sun-drenched, wild-hearted, and fully alive. I create art that celebrates transformation and the tender strength it takes to be soft in a sharp world. These are not just pretty pictures; they’re layered invitations to connect—with the work, with the story, and most importantly, with yourself.”
