Communing with the Gods

Nancy's interest in watercolor began at an early age. She took a few classes, painted on her own and illustrated her handwritten Masters essay in watercolor (MA in Spirituality, Mundelein College, Chicago, IL). But she did not have the opportunity to seriously pursue her watercolor painting until she attended an art retreat. Co-directing the retreat was Marika Popovits, an internationally recognized painter. Marika recognized Nancy’s “touch” for watercolor. Her encouragement was a turning point for Nancy and Marika began to tutor her. Marika and Nancy share love of painting, in addition to the deep pursuit of spiritual consciousness. Nancy was learning from a master. As Nancy improved under Marika’s instruction, she learned glazing, and the finer, classic aspects of watercolor. Her painting, “Autumn Light” has been in the Mozaik Gallery in Santa Fe. Another will appear in "Novum Artis", November issue. She has also been selected for the Beyond 2025 international exhibition.
