“My work explores the intersections of resilience, memory, and connection through fiber and mixed media. Rooted in traditions of macramé and textile craft, I transform natural and industrial materials—cord, wood, metal, organic elements sourced from the landscape—into sculptural forms that evoke both strength and fragility. I am drawn to the tactile and architectural qualities of fiber, using repetition, tension, and scale to create immersive works that invite touch, reflection, and interaction. Each piece becomes a visual metaphor for endurance and transformation, often inspired by the desert landscape of Arizona and the stories of community that shape it. Whether creating intimate wall hangings or life-size interactive wings, my goal is to blur the line between viewer and artwork, encouraging participation and dialogue. By reimagining traditional craft in contemporary contexts, I seek to honor heritage while pushing boundaries, crafting work that embodies beauty, strength, and the shared human experience.”
