“Contrast these impressions of rough spinal columns and abstract bones with elegant x-rays of my knees. Add splashes and swirls of light and color. Compose in elongated columns. This art quilt is one of my Agglomerations series. Materials: Cottons, digital x-ray images inkjet printed on fabric (my own knees), shibori dyes, batiks, tie-dyed & resist African indigo (backbone-like images), batting, thread. Techniques: Computer manipulation of x-rays, ink jet printing on fabric, machine piecing, machine quilting (home machine).”
