“The Anatomy of a Hybrid Presence” explores presence as a layered, dynamic construct shaped by memory, culture, and mediated experience. The central figure is not presented as whole, but as a composite—fragmented, obscured, and reassembled through a convergence of organic and artificial elements. A translucent sphere partially conceals the face, acting as both a protective surface and a distortion, suggesting the tension between inner subjectivity and external perception. The work proposes an “anatomy” not of the physical body, but of presence itself. Marine elements—fish and jellyfish—drift across the composition, symbolizing fluidity, emotional depth, and constant transformation. These forms contrast with mechanical and historical references, including chrome objects, a vintage car, and classical busts, which introduce notions of permanence, memory, and constructed ideals. Their coexistence is not seamless; instead, it generates friction, reflecting the complexity of contemporary identity as something continuously negotiated rather than resolved. A butterfly near the eye introduces a quieter symbolic layer, evoking metamorphosis and the act of seeing as a transformative process. The saturated pink background situates the figure within a hyperreal, psychological space—one that feels both intimate and synthetic. Within this constructed hybrid environment, presence becomes an evolving interconnection of fragments. The work ultimately invites viewers to engage with hybridity not as contradiction, but as a condition of presence—layered, fluid, evolving, and continuously in formation.
