Purple Still Life

“I am an artist, designer and illustrator who lives in Kandy, Sri Lanka, the world centre of Buddhism. My artworks are inspired by Sri Lankan nature and culture, as well as myths and fantasy stories. To me, Sri Lanka is like another planet! In 2016, the year I moved to Sri Lanka, I graduated from an art and design school that continues and develops the traditions of Avant-Garde art movement founded by the famous Soviet artist Kazimir Malevich (1879–1935). Inspired by my art teachers, I developed my own individual style of acrylic painting, as well as a unique polymer clay painting technique, continuing this great tradition.”
