Kristine Narvida is an independent, academic visual artist born in 1977. She graduated in 2006 as a Magister at the Latvian Art Academy in Riga. Since 2011 she is based in Germany. She is an active member of the German Association of Artists and the winner of prestigious art awards. Kristine Narvida prefers working with oil on linen, using models as her subjects. Her paintings explore the dynamics of human emotion through abstract figuration. With the theme “Presence” she is driven by human characteristics and sensations, looking at Presence - as it is and engaging in conversations about what cannot be said. Mastery of form and technique are extremely important to her.
