Mental Charmer

by Silvia Viana

Silvia Viana is a Spanish visual artist whose practice is grounded in a strong academic background and an ongoing critical inquiry. Trained in Philosophy (UNED) and Fine Arts (UMH), her work—characterized by vivid color and unsettling iconography—addresses social issues through multiple media, including painting, digital art, collage, video, and illustration, all understood as tools in service of an idea. Through these, she examines the human condition, social justice, and the tensions between the visible and the hidden, positioning her work between the intimate and the collective from a critical and reflective perspective. Her work has been exhibited in cities such as Verona, Seoul, Buenos Aires, and Paris, and has been recognized by institutions including the Cervantes College of Curitiba (Brazil), Global Health 50/50 (United Kingdom), and the Colegio de España in Paris.
