Light #7

“Because I was originally trained in painting and drawing my photography practice is fed by the little observations of the world around me honed from years of smearing graphite and layering paints. I try to capture the minute details of my environment, a practice I have developed due to my impermanent lifestyle as someone untied to one specific place in their early twenties. I believe that any image, when taken through the right angle, can serve as a portrait whether the subject is human or not. That is the case for this photograph, a intimate glimpse of my current home in the southwestern United States, captured through my eyes.”
