Elysian Glow

“I am an artist through and through. I can't go a single day without drawing something. My brain demands that I take time to create something, even if it's just something small, or I can't sleep. I have used this calling to create a large number of different types of art - clay, acrylic paint, alcohol markers, pencil, charcoal, I have made earrings, painted shoes, painted wine bottles, drawn/painted on every type of paper or canvas you can name. I don't know if I have a favorite style. I like so many different mixes of things that it's hard to narrow down. I think that every person and every piece of art work are beautiful in their own way. And maybe you can't see that beauty at first, it may be deeper down, but if you keep trying, eventually that person or that artwork will reveal their beauty to you and you will be in awe. It only requires having an open mind. Portraits are pleasing to me, but also there is no opportunity for creativity usually. Changing anything can turn it into a different person. I love taking a reference and turning it into my own thing. I love when an idea takes me over and I can feel the itch in my fingers and my brain and I can't stop until I make whatever it is that I have to make. I hope people enjoy seeing the things I create and I hope you can see the beauty in all of them, even if it's something that requires you to dig a little deeper.”
