YoYo’s Museum

by Yudan Ding

“Yudan Ding (Yuna) is a London-based artist working across illustration, soft sculpture, and 3D visual media. Her practice explores bodily perception, emotional structure, and the subtle power dynamics within intimate relationships. Drawing from everyday life, she captures moments of psychological tension and quiet transformation. As a mother of a nine-year-old, Yuna embraces motherhood not as separate from her art, but as an integral, nourishing part of it. A rhythm of patience, listening, and repair flows through her visual language. Intuitively drawn to soft, flexible materials, she gives form to emotions and experiences that are often difficult to articulate—misunderstood feelings, shifting roles, and a blurred sense of self. Yuna’s work does not aim to explain. Instead, she creates spaces of quiet resonance, where viewers can encounter tenderness, discomfort, and recognition. Beneath her gentle aesthetic lies a sharp, persistent inquiry: Who am I, and how can I exist within and beyond these roles?”
