Wild Wanderer
by Aurea Rangel
“I am an artist drawn to the beauty and complexity of nature. I find joy in exploring the balance between light, dark and shadow. My subjects range from flowers and fruit to animals and people—anything that captures my eye, feels alive and vibrant. Working primarily in watercolor because it allows me to express softness, transparency, and spontaneity, and with acrylics for the freedom to build texture. I seek the calm precision of a realistic portrait or still life but allow myself to enjoy the movement and unpredictability of abstract, flowing forms. Whether through the curve of a petal, the glint in an animal’s eye, or the energy of a bold brushstroke, I aim to capture the emotion of my subject and invite the viewer into that experience.”
