Vega; The Spotted Redhead
by Madeline Smestad
“Art has taken precedence in my life since the time I could hold a pencil. Starting portrait commissions in elementary school, my love of the visual arts and dreams of being a professional artist only grew. Some of my inspirations include Dali, Kahlo, mental illness, eyes and the human form. I mainly work with acrylics and pencil, but upon request, I have used other mediums. The main message I try to convey, excluding commissions, is to think deeply about yourself and your surroundings. Open your mind.”
