“My work explores movement, sensuality, atmosphere, and the anthropomorphic qualities of simple line gestures. Through painting and sculpture, I aim to evoke reflection, awe, and wonder, inspired by natural phenomena like sunrises and shifting clouds. My paintings often begin with gestural drawings of the female form in dynamic, dance-like motions. Layers of pencil crayon, watercolor, acrylic, and oil build depth and energy, sometimes obscuring the initial drawings and other times revealing them as focal points, offering a glimpse into the evolution of each piece. Inspired by the vibrant palettes of nature, my use of color enhances atmosphere and emotional resonance. Combining color, movement, and texture, I strive to create expressive, intimate works that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with the energy of each creation, countering the mass-produced and impersonal.”
