Ugh

by Jay Hollick

“Through painting and drawing, I explore the relationship between myself and my hometown. I am particularly interested in the town’s history and its role in the production of atomic weapons. In the post-Cold War era, it became the site of a massive environmental cleanup—a history that formed the backdrop of my youth and shaped my personal narrative. My work reflects on this complex legacy, blending serious inquiry with sardonic commentary.”
