Amanda Flores is a self-taught, neurodivergent and disabled artist with interest in several modalities for self-expression including collage, pastel, block print, photography, and mixed media including ceramic and cement. Born in 1988 and raised in South Florida USA, her educational background is in foreign language education and community mental health. Her visual work is primarily influenced by Expressionism and Folk Art with heavy emphasis on colorblocking and portraiture. Mrs. Flores is an advocate for the liberation of all people from the brutalism of economic slavery and western hegemony and she works to resist the tides of fascism through her art, Fluxus, and the Dick Lavender project.
