“My work bridges the realm between storytelling and sculpture, exploring themes such as connection, mortality, memory, faith, and the human condition. I am endlessly fascinated by dichotomies of darkness and light; structure and form. Using traditional and modern carving techniques I create conceptual pieces that speak to the interplay between permanence and fragility. Each sculpture is a narrative, inspiring reflection on the moments, emotions and substance of our lives. These works are informed by a passion for the natural world and human creativity both, driven by a love of beauty, quest for truth, and deep sense of poise and dignity. Through this act of blending subjects, textures, and symbolism, I strive to invite the viewer into a literal and figurative space, evoking a sense of intimacy and connection.”
