Land Escape Triptych

by Julie Cardillo

“I am inspired by interior to exterior views, or vice versa. This helps me conceptually, as well as artistically, gain a “bigger picture” on both perceptual and environmental changes. I am interested in posing questions about the constructed boundaries between the outside world and inside world. Where are the boundaries? What sensations do we associate with the spaces in between? How do we envision our surroundings, and are those visions changing? I am also exploring the passage of time as we move through our landscapes. I hope the artwork provokes thoughts regarding our changing perspectives on, and from within, our environments.”
