“As an artist working in fiber and mixed media, themes of memory and emotion, particularly the female experience, take center stage. My art reflects personal and collective memories and serves as vessels of emotion, with humor and sarcasm occasionally peeking through. I strive to create a conversation between the viewer and the emotions embedded in the fibers and materials. A profound appreciation for fibers, traditionally associated with female artisanship, evokes a sense of heritage and continuity. I incorporate found or created objects, challenging conventional uses of these materials. This experimentation blends the old with the new, the personal with the universal This mix aims to evoke a sense of connection, inviting viewers to explore their own memories and feelings. The juxtaposition of soft fibers with unexpected materials mirrors the complex and multifaceted nature of experiences—where softness and resilience coexist, and where the past and present intertwine.”
