Bloodchild V

by Rebecca Ledbetter

“Words contextualize the world we live in, but colors provide an avenue to examine and interpret these perspectives. I am an abstract oil painter who explores the interplay of color, texture, shadows, light, and tone to create colorful, abstract worlds that challenge our perceptions of reality. Inspired by the power of words, particularly poetry, I translate narratives into visual language, using color as a tool to examine and reinterpret human experiences. Fascinated by the complexities of relationships and how they shape our understanding of ourselves, I use abstract forms and color to challenge conventional notions of beauty, love, and communication. My goal is to provide these colorful new worlds that transcend the limitations of words and invite viewers to engage in a profound exploration of human experience and existence.”
