Beach Life

by Natalie McGuire

“My soul’s need to create art comes from my parents love of travel via RV. When me and my brothers were younger, we believed that the road trip was a part of the journey that you can’t get from a plane. We would sit and watch the landscape go by, as this was our Television. No reruns to watch, just magical views to ignite my child’s imagination insisting that my mind wander. The road trips recharge my soul and fuel my creativity that I share with the world in art. A few selected images will go on to be a part of my award-winning Photozaics. They are inspired where Van Gogh’s textures meet Ansel Adam’s simplicity near the intersection of Bob Ross’ healing vibes. The technique is a labor-intensive multi step process that starts out with my journey into nature; recording the landscapes that I spark my eye. Print the selected images and match up stained glass colors. Glass is cut by hand and assembled the frame. Grouting finishes the artwork.”
